THE STORY

This collection tells a story of mindful luxury, embracing the notion that sustainable choices can be synonymous with opulence.

The diamonds we have used in this collection are grown in state-of-the-art laboratories, meticulously replicating the natural process that occurs deep within the Earth. By harnessing the power of science, we can create exquisite gems that possess the same brilliance, purity, and durability as their mined counterparts.

Inspired by the delicate balance between nature and technology, each piece in this exclusive capsule collection is locally handcrafted by our skilled artisans.

Together let us redefine what it means to indulge in the extraordinary.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our passion for creating exquisite jewelry is matched by our commitment to sustainability.

We believe in the power of innovation and environmental stewardship. Embracing the future of luxury, we have made the conscious choice to craft  this collection with lab-grown diamonds

These gems radiate beauty but leave a minimal ecological footprint as they are grown in a laboratory powered solely by green solar energy with zero carbon emissions.

We only offer excellent quality cuts and clarity of our sustainably produced diamonds which are independently GIA or IGI gemologist certified.

WHY LAB DIAMONDS?

Grown in a laboratory powered solely by green solar energy our lab diamonds are manufactured with zero carbon emissions.

The laboratory technology we use allows us to precisely control the diamond's characteristics - including aspects such as colour and clarity to suit your preferences.

Due to the reduced manufacturing process and refining timeline the cost of our lab-grown diamonds is significantly less than their natural counterparts of equivalent size & quality.

The unique ability to create larger diamonds has inspired our creative  design. Each piece in this collection is delicately handcrafted and handset to reinforce the beauty of lab diamonds.

HOW ARE LAB DIAMONDS MADE?

Lab diamonds are grown in controlled laboratories using the most advanced technologies that duplicate the natural growing conditions of mined diamonds which occurs deep within the Earth.

There are the two common methods for lab diamond growth - these include the High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). The CVD methodology uses a newer technology and is the preferred process to produce a quality lab diamond.

At Jared Brown Designs all of our lab diamonds greater than 1 carat are grown using the CVD process.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ABOUT LAB DIAMONDS

Do lab diamonds test as natural diamonds?

Yes. A lab diamond will test the same as a natural diamond on a diamond tester. Although lab diamonds are created by scientists they contain the same chemical and optical properties as natural diamonds.

By the naked eye, even an expert gemologists cannot tell the difference between the two. A lab diamond can only be distinguished from mined diamonds using specialized equipment that can carefully read laboratory inscriptions on the diamond, and detect minor differences in trace elements.

Do lab diamonds have value?

We continue to believe diamonds should be purchased as a sentimental piece whether you choose a lab or mined diamond.

Similar to mined diamonds, lab diamonds last a lifetime and with their inherent value they have the same opportunities as mined diamonds; the opportunity to pass-down generationally, the freedom to re-design and re-use, and the option to wear forever.

The technology that allows us to create lab diamonds is relatively new, and as the jewelry industry and diamond market continues to respond to lab diamonds the prices will continue to fluctuate. For this reason it is difficult for us at Jared Brown Designs to guarantee the value of the lab diamonds we source.

Can lab diamonds be insured?

Yes. Similar to a mined diamond, lab diamond rings can be insured.

All of our lab diamonds 1.00ct in weight or greater are accompanied by a GIA or IGI laboratory certificate.

Is all Jared Brown Designs jewelry made with lab diamonds?

No. Lab diamonds have been used exclusively in this collection with Holt Renfrew.
